Social Studies 2020 - Technology
For the past century, Technology has been evolving into greater inventions. For many centuries technology has had some amazing improvements. This is important because without technology we wouldn't be where we are today. One thing that has changed over time is Cellphones. Before in the past, people use to send letters to each other which took a lot of time. Nowadays people just send a text message or call each other instead or talk in person. This shows that communication has changed over time. Another thing that has changed over time is transportation. Before people use to ride horses and carriages whereas nowadays people just use vehicles like a car or plane to get to places. This shows that transportation has changed over time, as now we have evolved from one thing to another. One last thing that has changed through time is Entertainment. Before entertainment used to be dull and you would have fewer options, you would also have to watch it at a certain time. Now people use online streaming services to watch their favourite shows that they are interested in, you can watch them at whatever time you want. This is how entertainment has changed over time because of technology. These are some things that have changed over time because of technology. Without technology, we wouldn't be where we are today.

Teenagers are addicted to cell phones. This matters because nowadays teenagers can't imagine a day without cell phones. This also matters because this is their only entertainment system at this point, they don't use TVs or read, etc. Students are addicted to cell phones because of social media, they use social media to communicate with the people around them. It’s an easier solution than talking in person with someone and you can meet more people easier than meeting them in person. This affects them negatively because they can be judged heavily for the things they post and they can also be cyberbullied by the people around them. They also use cell phones for normal uses, such as reading, as a calculator, and a searching device. This can impact teenagers negatively as they can use them for too long and it can affect them personally. Teenagers spend quite a lot of time on cell phones as they can’t think of something better to do. They also spend a lot of time on cell phones because of the people around them. This can affect them negatively because they can lose focus easier and can also affect their eyesight. These are only some reasons why teenagers are addicted to cell phones. Cell phones are useful, but nowadays teenagers are using them for useless purposes.

Chapter 3
All teenagers have a specific role to play in their group. Describe the roles each teenager plays?
According to what the teenagers hear on Corrie's radio, why would America be best not to get involved in Australia’s struggle?
Why is Australia being invaded?
What do Kevin and Robyn argue about? Do you think Robyn’s points are fair?
“Paradise of Hell” is an oxymoron. What does it mean.
Kevin’s hatred of the invaders is quite extreme. Why do you think he is so angry?
Despite the fact that the teenagers are in the midst of a war zone, evading enemy soldiers and planning guerrilla operations, they still find time to harbour romances. Do you think this is realistic?
Briefly summarise the story of the Hermit from Hell. Do you believe he killed his family?
- What kind of person is Kevin in chapter 3?
- Ellie says Fi in like an exoticbutterfly-P.33 Do you agree with Ellie, why/why not? yes because like what Ellie said I've never meet or know anyone that haven't tired 2 minutes noodles. but finding that FI said she comes from a family that is into healthy foods, is understandable.

- Ellie claims that ‘Hell’ is only a label and that people label things all the time, often ignoring or overlooking certain labeled places or things-pg 43. She then comes to the conclusion that ‘Hell was people’ pg43. Is she right? What’s your opinion, on labeling and Hell?
- What was especially peculiar about the planes that flew over Hell? ‘Their noise, their speed, their darkness frightened me.’ Pg 38 Why do you think these frightened Ellie?because of the different noises changing within a short term of time leaving him a shock and confused to what's happening

6.Why is it so terrible that Chris falls asleep while on sentry duty? How does Ellie react? Why do you think she reacts this way? How does she feel about her reaction later?
- because Chris is putting all their lives at risk just because he's decreasing himself. Ellie begins to kick chris as some ways of punishing him. i think she reacted this way because she was also enchantment. Ellie was also sacred and annoyed because she and put all her effort and done so much for them just to get where they are now. she feels like shes in the wrong and terrified at her self and with all the violent actions she had to go through she feels like she changing into a monster which she does not like
